Foundation Stage

Our foundation stage includes nursery and reception which we call caterpillars and butterflies. Here the children learn and develop basic skills of play, teamwork, independance and academic abilities.

Please take a look at our classroom and some of our recent events in the gallery below.

Meet Mrs Allan

This is my second year teaching at England Lane Academy and I really enjoy it. I began my career as a Nursery Nurse and, after graduating as a teacher, I taught in Spain for 4 years. I have always been passionate about teaching in the Early Years and giving children the best start to their education and every day I arrive with the same enthusiasm.

I spend my spare time with my husband and two young sons, going for walks, listening to music, swimming, playing games, watching movies, going on bike rides and visiting Spain as often as we can.

Meet Mrs Houston

I have been working at England Lane for a very long time - over 25 years - and have worked with many current parents when they were children in nursery! I work as a nursery nurse and love helping the young children to grow and develop. I have 2 grown up sons and 2 lovely grandchildren. In my spare time I enjoy making cards and jewellery.
